FOUR new “affordable” homes for rent will be built on land off Longshaw Street, Warrington.
The borough council’s development management committee has given the green light for the scheme on a former garage site which was cleared several years ago and is now an area of open, hard-standing.
To the north is open land, to the east the rear gardens of houses in Marshall Avenue and to the south and west, semi-detached properties on Dagnall Avenue and Longsaw Street.
Dallam local centre is within a two-minute walk and has a convenience store, pharmacy and 20 new properties approved in 2015 as part of a wider regeneration of the area.
The apartments, which will be available to rent, will be within a two-storey block, sub-divided centrally and joined by a short, flat-roofed link.
