Major boost as Government reveal Warrington as one of first areas to receive £22m Town Deal funding

WARRINGTON has received a major boost after being revealed as one of the first areas to receive Town Deal funding worth more than £22m to help to utilise vacant spaces and restore a vibrant town centre.

The plans will include launching an advanced construction training centre and a health and social care academy as well as a health and well-being hub in the town centre and an active travel programme.
The Town Deal for Warrington announced by the Government today (Tuesday) will support Warrington Borough Council and MP Andy Carter in their ambitions to improve the town, make the area more attractive for residents, businesses and visitors and have a positive impact on the local economy through skills and employment.
The plans include helping to revitalise unloved and underused buildings, such as those that are vacant, by transforming them into new office space and community hubs. This would include locations where residents would have the opportunity to learn new skill, gain health and wellbeing advice.
The council and local businesses will use some of the funding to invest in more environmentally friendly public transport, such as an all-electric bus fleet depot as well as updates to pedestrian areas and green spaces.
Welcoming the news Warrington South MP Andy Carter said:“The bid submitted by the Town Deal Board was really excellent, it ticked so many boxes and having spent the last few weeks pushing Ministers hard to support Warrington, this is fantastic news. This funding will help us boost footfall in the town centre, giving local businesses such as retail and hospitality the chance to grow and thrive – creating new jobs for people who live locally.
“I sat down with the Secretary of State in Westminster only last week to press the urgent need for this funding. Coronavirus has unfortunately presented us with some brutal realities, so we must do everything we can to create an environment that is attractive to both residents and businesses.
“I made a pledge to fight hard for Warrington when I was elected last year, this funding will really allow us to power ahead with the plans to bring new life to the town centre.”
The Council and local stakeholders will now have the opportunity to implement innovative and forward-thinking proposals submitted to the Government’s £3.6 billion Towns Fund, designed to tap into the economic potential of 101 shortlisted towns and drive future growth and prosperity across the country.
This latest funding builds on the Government’s wider package of unprecedented measures to help protect and support communities, business and jobs through the coronavirus pandemic, to ensure that nobody is left without hope or opportunity.
Minister for Regional Growth and Local Government Luke Hall said:“I am delighted to confirm Warrington will be given a Town Deal worth up to £22.1m from the Government’s Towns Fund help revitalise the town centre.
“We need to make sure our towns are able to adapt to our changing habits, and Warrington is no different. This funding will make the town centre a better place to live, work and play, in turn helping local business to thrive.
“We are determined to make sure every area of the country benefits from our shared prosperity, so we can unlock jobs and opportunity for local people in all of our regions.”

Volunteers deliver their 1,000th food parcel

VOLUNTEERS from Great Sankey Parish and community food hub have delivered their 1000th food parcel during the Coronavirus crisis.

For eight weeks now the West Warrington emergency food hubs at Great Sankey, Penketh and Westbrook have been delivering food parcels to the Elderly and vulnerable.
In early March both the Great Sankey and Penketh Parish councils reacted fast to the immediate Coronavirus crisis. Two emergency food hubs, one at Great Sankey Hood Manor Community and another at Penketh Youth Club were set up. They are lead by Cllr Amanda King Great Sankey South, Cllr David Simm Chair of Penketh Parish Council, Lindsay Baker Penketh and supported by large group of local community volunteers, Serving the elderly and vulnerable.
Last week the Great Sankey Hood Manor food hub delivered to its 1000 person, Mary Holt at the Your Housing Association bungalows on Hepherd Street.
Mary said: “We have been delighted by the kindness and food delivered. Especially when the shops were empty and we struggled to know if it was safe to leave our homes. The kindness of the Parish and all the volunteers has brightened our days and kept us well. The whole street looks forward to the food parcels.”
Cllr Amanda King pictured with Mary said: “t has been a pleasure to be of service to Mary and all our residents during this crisis. The rapid response, donations and setup enabled us all to make sure our elderly did not go without food at a time when they needed it the most. The volume of grateful voicemails and notes shows how much this was and is needed. Many residents were told to remain indoors for 12 weeks but did not have anyone to turn to, did not qualify for a Government food pack and had no delivery slots.
Cllr King added: “Many residents are starting to get help now and can come off our food parcel lists however, we are receiving new requests as resident’s circumstances change. Our team expects the food hubs to continue into July but are monitoring the situation’.

Cllr Peter Watson Chair of Great Sankey Parish Council said: “I am honoured to have supported the set up of the Food Hubs and it’s been amazing watching the outstanding work of the volunteers. The community has really come together.”
Penketh Hub has delivered to over 600 people and in recent weeks a third hub has been launched from Sevenwoods Pub manned by Landlord Vicki and Les Anders they have delivered to over 200 people. Plus supported many local nursing homes.
All three food hubs combined cover 6 wards across West Warrington from Burtonwood to Penketh with weekly free emergency food parcels. This area covers 50000 homes and has over 10300 Elderly residents.

Legal system rapidly adapting with technology during Covid-19 crisis

FDR Law understand that clients and potential clients will be concerned about whether they can access justice during a lockdown.
The legal profession and the Courts have rapidly adapted to ensure that Family Law cases can still continue with delay.

Last week the following statistics were reported –
Remote hearings. Since 7 April 2020, between 85% and 90% of cases have been held remotely. During April 2020, video technology accounted for just over one third of the use of remote communications technology across courts and tribunals, and audio technology accounted for just under two thirds.
Hearings using audio technology. On 24 April 2020, the estimated use of audio in hearings increased to approximately 2,800 a day. The highest recorded figure for a single day was on 8 April 2020, where approximately 3,400 hearings used audio technology.
Hearings using video technology. The numbers of cases heard each day with the use of video technology increased from approximately 750 in the final week of March, to around 1,250 on 24 April 2020. The highest recorded figure for a single day was on 8 April 2020, where approximately 1,300 hearings used video technology.
Face-to-face hearings. The numbers of cases heard solely face-to-face decreased from approximately 650 on 27 March 2020, to around 400 on 24 April 2020. The lowest recorded figure for a single day was on 23 April 2020, where the number of face-to-face hearings was approximately 300.

VE Day goes down a treat thanks to Great Cream-Tea Run!

NEARLY 800 elderly or vulnerable residents had a surprise treat on VE Day thanks to a wonderful idea from the Sanctuary Café in Lymm – a free cream tea delivered to their doorstep!

Sue Eadon and Kath Mellor, who run the café, had the idea to treat the elderly residents of Lymm and District to a free cream-tea with scone, fruit, jam and cream a few weeks ago.
“Our senior residents are the very people who should be celebrating VE Day but many were unable to leave their houses”, said Sue.
They floated the idea of providing free cream teas on social media and, with good feedback, decided to attempt around 200 cream teas. The British Legion then got involved and kindly offered to pay for publicity – 5,000 leaflets delivered to local homes. “But then”, continued Sue the idea just snowballed!” In fact, numbers grew to 400 and continued to the day itself, ending up somewhere around 750.
Although there was no charge made for cream-teas, donations were welcomed and all surplus will be donated to NHS charities and the Lymm Leave No-one Behind Initiative.

The scones were baked (observing all additional hygiene rules in the current climate) by eight bakers and delivered by a small army of volunteers to houses in Lymm and other areas including Thelwall, Appleton, Warrington and Cadishead.
Volunteers had to carefully observe distancing rules but the deliveries resulted in numerous delighted smiles and grateful comments from surprised residents. In some areas including Oughtrington, there was even a VE Day Cream-Tea Party with several residents enjoying the generosity of Sanctuary Café.

England Head Coach Eddie Jones passes on coaching tips to Warrington Under 7s

AFTER having a successful season cut short by the coronavirus pandemic Warrington Rugby Union Club’s Under 7s managed to pick up some coaching tips from England Head Coach Eddie Jones in their “Pass it on” video in support of the NHS.

At the end of the video the England Head Coach addresses the team personally and gives them a few tips on how to keep up their skill set during these difficult times, revealing how he is keeping his eye on the ball during lockdown.
Dave Evans, Coach of Warrington U7s, said :” This has been such a boost for our U7s team and I feel it would be a Huge boost not just for the rugby World and Warrington area but the Nation showing how the head of RFU is still helping the grass roots of this amazing sport.”
“Hopefully this can bring joy to many more people in the world.”

Parents urged tp keep children safe at home

PARENTS in Warrington are being urged to keep their children safe at home to ease pressure on the emergency services during the lock down.
The appeal comes from police and from Cheshire Fire Service in the wake of an increasing number of fires being deliberately started across the borough and elsewhere.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: “ We’re surprised to still be getting calls to deliberate fires outdoors on open land and in woodland during the current lock down.
“These include refuse and wheelie bin fires, as well as grass and countryside fires. If you’re a parent or guardian, you can help reduce the number of deliberately set fires by discussing fire safety with children and keeping them safe indoors”.
Nuisance fires, including bin fires, grass fires and rubbish fires may seem “a bit of fun” to youngsters bored during the lock down.
But they can involve firefighters in time-wasting operations which could have fatal consequences if more serious fires occur elsewhere.

Young mum left heartbroken after son diagnosed with rare muscle wasting disorder

A single mum from Latchford in Warrington has been left heartbroken after receiving the news that her 4-year-old son has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Myotonic Dystrophy type 1 (MD1).

Claire Barker has been left devastated after her only child George was diagnosed with one of the two types of Myotonic Dystrophy, an inherited type of muscular dystrophy that affects the muscles and other body systems. It affects most parts of the body including the heart, lungs, eyes and nervous system. The severity of symptoms varies among people with MD1.
MD1 begins in early childhood and typically presents before the age of 10. George went for tests due to behavioural problems and struggles in school.
The first symptoms tend to be more behavioural and cognitive than physical, which is true in George’s case. As the child matures into adulthood, typical features of adult-onset MD1 usually emerge, where serious cardiac rhythm disturbances may occur alongside progressive muscle wasting and weakness.
George attends Cobbs infant school where his mum also works in the link club and kitchen. Due to this rare condition, George struggles to cope in school and has regular breakdowns throughout the day, sometimes the cause of these outbursts is unknown. Days can be a complete disaster for George and very difficult for his mum.
Learning difficulties in various degrees is a common problem for people with MD1. They struggle with attentional deficits, as well as cognitive and behavioural problems. This is why school can be a very difficult place for George, although Claire says the staff do “an amazing job supporting him.”
George wears ear defenders to cope with sound and also needs additional support in the classroom. Aside from these issues, he is a “very lovable and sweet boy” who has an amazing connection with his mum and grandmother due to their hard work and persistence. An “avoidant” or apathetic personality also can be part of the picture, which is why key relationships for George are vital.
People with MD1 have progressive muscle wasting and weakness, although this usually starts in young adulthood. The muscle wasting and weakness develop in their lower legs, hands, neck, and face. Other symptoms include fatigue, muscle pain, difficulty swallowing, clouding of the lens in their eyes (cataracts), and irregularities in the electrical control of their heartbeat.
Life expectancy can be reduced for people with MD1. This is due to respiratory and cardiac (heart) symptoms. An increased risk can be caused by a young age of onset, more severe muscle weakness, and cardiac conduction defects.
There is currently no cure or specific treatment for Myotonic Dystrophy. Treatment is aimed at managing symptoms of the disease. Routine physical activity appears to help maintain muscle strength and endurance and to control musculoskeletal pain. Canes, braces, walkers, and scooters can help as muscle weakness progresses. Heart problems associated with Myotonic Dystrophy can be treated through the insertion of a pacemaker, medications, and regular monitoring of cardiac function. Cataracts can be surgically removed.

Although George has just been diagnosed, his mum is anxious about how she will support her child and realises the importance of preparing for the future, as it is a condition that progresses. As soon as possible she would like to get a heart sensor watch so she can start to monitor George’s heart, as this is something that is affected by the condition. He will also need physical and occupational therapy. A physical therapist can teach him exercises to help improve movement and strength and decrease pain.
A go fund me page has been set up to support George and his mum on this journey. The money raised will be spent on a heart monitor watch that can alert his mum to any irregularities, different types of emotional and physical therapy and any equipment that George may need in the future.

Woman trapped in three vehicle collision on Hawleys Lane

TWO fire crews helped rescue a woman trapped in car following a three vehicle collision on Hawleys Lane, Warrington on Wednesday afternoon.

Two fire engines attended from Warrington and Birchwood following the collision at 15:30 involving a HGV and two cars.

Firefighters helped to extract a woman from one of the vehicles.

She was passed into the care of paramedics.

Crews then made the scene safe and left after an hour.

146 people object to housing schemes

A TOTAL of 146 people have lodged objections to two planning applications comprising 172 new houses at Grappenhall Heys – but Warrington planning officers are recommending both schemes be approved
There have also been expressions of concern from Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council, Appleton Parish Council and the Woodland Trust.
Phase 1a involved 58 houses to the south of Astor Drive and the east of Witherwin Avenue and 77 objections have been lodged.
The second phase – 1b – consists of 114 houses and is to the north of Lichfield Avenue and east of Witherwin Avenue. Both are to the south of the popular visitor attraction, Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden.
They will effectively fill-in much of the existing green space between the walled garden and Grappenhall Village.
Outline planning consent for both schemes – and a third one bringing the total number of houses up to 400 but not yet before planning chiefs – has already been granted.
Earlier versions of the two schemes to be considered by the borough’s development management committee on Wednesday, were turned down last year.
Applicants are Homes England, who took over ownership of the land from the old Warrington New Town Development Corporation, and builders Rowland Homes.
The site is not in the Green Belt, nor is it a public open space. But objections are based on various grounds, including inadequate infrastructure, no provision for schools of health facilities, poor design, over-development, air pollution and the large number of existing houses in the area which are vacant.
Officers say the development will not have a harmful impact on adjacent properties and that ecological mitigation is in excess of the required level. They believe the local highway network will be adequate for the increased traffic the development will cause.

Condolences as Rylands FC say farewell to club stalwart Ron Stretford

THERE was sad news at Rylands FC last week with news of the passing of club stalwart and former treasurer Ron Stretford.

Ron, who had the Gorsey Lane stand named after him was an active member of the club for many years serving as treasurer. He is the father of club benefactor Paul Stretford and condolences are extended to the family at this sad time.

Meanwhile having survived stroms Ciara and Dennis, the Gorsey Lane pitch succumbed to the effects of Storm Jorge on Saturday.

The water logged state of the pitch causing the postponement of the Blues scheduled home game against fellow promotion chasers Longridge Town.

Unbeaten in the NWCFL since mid-January second placed Rylands return to action on Saturday when they visit mid table Whitchurch Alport, kick off 3pm.

Rosebank Nursery receives National Quality Award

LYMM’S Rosebank Centre Nursery, located on Pepper Street has received national recognition for the quality of care it offers children.

The Rosebank Centre has been awarded National Day Nurseries Association’s highest ‘Quality Counts Platinum Award’. This is in addition to its “Outstanding” recognition by Ofsted in 2019. Quality Counts is a national quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children.

For the past 12 months The Rosebank centre has been working towards the award, which acts as an indicator to parents of the high quality care that is offered.

This is a special achievement and reaching this point is a culmination of much hard work from the nursery team over several years. Wire kick start season with win over Salford in Mike Cooper Testimonial

WARRINGTON Wolves kick started the new season with a 26-10 victory over Salford Red Devils in Mike Cooper’s testimonial game in front of a crowd of just over 4,000.

Wire boss Steve Price named a strong 21-man side to take on last year’s losing grand finalists including new signings Matty Ashton and Anthony Gelling, while former Wire Kevin Brown lined up for Salford.

Cooper, who was celebrating the startr of his testimonial season was given a guard of honour as he walked onto the pitch with his children.

The visitors looked like causing an upset as they led 8-10 at the break but were kept pointless in the second half as Warrington stepped up a gear.

Sarginson went over for the Salford after seven minutes, with the touchline conversion attempt going wide.

Warrington hit back on 12 minutes, when Salford fumbled and King was in place to claim possession and cross for the try. Ratchford’s kick made 6-4

Asthon showed hios pace to save a try for Evalds but from 10 metres out the ball was moved out to Sarginson who over for his second try on 25 minutes. Lolohea was successful with the conversion, making it 6-10.

On 36 minutes Atkin darted over the line but was held up on the last to deny another Salford try.

A penalty went to the Wire and with two minutes to the break with Ratchford converting to make it 8-10 at the break.

After a slow start to the second half Warrington eventually took control with Ashton showing pace again to get to within 20 metres. The ball was moved out wide and space opened up for Gelling to go over.
Ratchford converted making it 14-10.

Warrington continued to press and eventually Burrell went over with Ratchford adding the extras to make it 20-10.

Then on 68 minutes Warrington wrapped up the game with quick hands out to the left edge to put Lineham over in the corner, the conversion making it 26-10.

Warrington General Election results 2019

THE votes have been cast, the ballot boxes are in and early indications are it could be a bad night for Labour based on national exit polls.

While Labour are confident of holding on to Warrington North, early indications suggest a reduced majority for Labour’s candidate Charlotte Nichols, who was brought in to replace former MP Helen Jones.

Meanwhile the Tories are quietly confident that Andy Carter could defeat former Warrington South MP Faisal Rashid.

Warehouse plan gets the green light

PLANS for a 4.688 sq metre warehouse on the Appleton Thorn Trading Estate have been given the green light by Warrington planning chiefs.
The scheme – which had been opposed by Appleton Parish Council – was originally deferred because of concerns about its impact on two nearby properties – the Grade 2 Listed Yew Tree Farm and Yew Tree Barn.
But planning officers recommended the scheme be approved.
They said the site had been previously developed and was one of the few remaining vacant plants on the estate. It was hard standing, except for a pond in one corner.
Appleton Parish Council argued that warehouse would have an overbearing impact on Yew Tree Barn. Lighting issues, noise and the impact on protected species could be a concern because it is not known what use the warehouse would be put to.
Two nearby residents also objected because of loss of outlook, noise, overshadowing, etc.
But officers said the distance the new building would be from either Yew Tree Farm or Yew Tree Barn meant there will be no significant harmful impact.
However they suggested mounding and acoustic fencing should be provided to minimise any noise impact.

Teenage full-back could make Wolves debut

YOUNG full-back Josh Thewlis could make his Warrington debut this weekend against Catalans.

Thewlis, 17, has been drafted in for the suspended Jake Mamo, and with regular full-back Stefan Ratchford out injured long-term, it is an opportunity for the academy player to step up.

He has been training with the first team since pre-season and has now been handed the squad number 31.

Another option for Steve Price is Jack Johnson, who has also been brought in to the 19-man squad in place of Tom Lineham, also missing through suspension.

Those are the only two changes for the game against Catalans, which takes place at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3.15pm kick-off).

Police urge residents to be vigilant following surge in scams over Bank Holiday

DETECTIVES are urging residents to be vigilant on the back of several fraud offences involving scams in Warrington and Cheshire since the start of the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Between Friday 28 May and yesterday, Tuesday May 28, Cheshire Constabulary was notified of scammers targeting people across the county, including three in Warrington.

The fraudsters claimed to be representatives of a bank, a building society, HM Revenue and Customs, the police and a Facebook lottery and told victims a range of lies in a bid to convince them to part with cash.

Detective Inspector Alastair Hinze, of Cheshire Constabulary’s Economic Crime Unit, said: “Three of the victims are from Warrington and there are others from Knutsford, Scholar Green and Stapeley.

“Callers purporting to be from HMRC told victims in Warrington and Stapeley that they owed money in unpaid taxes and would be arrested if they did not pay up.

“The other fraud offences in Warrington involved a caller pretending to be a detective, who asked a victim to move money from one bank account to another to assist with an investigation, and requests for money to enable a victim to receive a large amount of cash they had been told that they had won on a Facebook lottery.

“A victim in Knutsford received a call from someone purporting to be from a bank’s fraud department telling them that they needed to move money from their ISA accounts to ‘safe accounts’ due to corrupt employees having access to them.

“Unfortunately, some of the victims have lost large amounts of money as a result of these scams.

“A victim in Scholar Green also had money taken after being called from someone purporting to be from a telecommunications company. They told the victim that they had detected hacking on their internet connection and needed to run software to thwart the hackers.

“This paved the way for them to be able to steal money.

“Sadly, scams like this are very common, with people throughout the county and the country being targeted every day.

“Over-the-phone fraudsters can be very convincing and use a range of tactics to try to convince victims to part with their money.

“For example, they may claim to be working for the police and ask you to call 101 or 999 to verify their identity. When you try to do so you will end up talking to an accomplice as they will not put the phone down when you do, ensuring that the line is kept open.

“Scammers may also pretend to be calling you from your bank, building society, internet or phone provider or HMRC.

“All these scams are orchestrated by serious organised crime groups.

“I urge people living in Cheshire to be vigilant and to follow our advice on how to avoid falling victim to such scams.”

Cheshire Constabulary’s scam prevention advice includes:

Telephone scams
• The police or your bank or building society will never ask you to become part of an undercover investigation or for you to withdraw money and hand it to them for safe-keeping, or to transfer your money elsewhere.
• Be wary of any calls, texts or emails purporting to be from the police, HMRC, your bank, your building society, your internet or phone provider or anyone else asking for your personal or financial details, or for you to transfer money (for whatever reason).
• Do not give anyone purporting to be from a telecommunications company access to any of your internet enabled devices, passwords or personal information.
• If you receive a suspicious call asking you to call back to verify that the caller is genuine, make sure that you verify that it is the correct number for the organisation they claim to be calling from. You should then only call back (on the organisation’s advertised number) either at a different time or by using a different phone.
• If you are approached, or feel something is suspicious, hang up the phone and do not reply and then report it to police on 101, Action Fraud and your bank on their advertised number.

HMRC and lottery scams
• If you receive a phone call – including an automated phone call – letter or email from someone purporting to be from HMRC saying that a warrant is out for your arrest for unpaid tax, this will be a scam. Report the scam to Action Fraud.
• If you receive emails or letters saying that you have won a large amount of money on an overseas or online lottery you have not entered, ignore them.
• If you have responded to such emails/letters/phone calls, break off all contact with the fraudsters immediately.
• If you have given the fraudsters your bank or building society account details, alert your bank or building society immediately.
• Be aware that once you have given your bank or building society account details to a fraudster you are likely to be a target for other frauds – fraudsters often share details about people they have successfully targeted or approached, with different identities used to commit further frauds.
• People who have already fallen victim to fraudsters are particularly vulnerable to recovery fraud, which is when fraudsters contact people who have already lost money through fraud and claim to be law enforcement officers or lawyers. They advise the victim that they can help them recover their lost money, but request a fee. This again is a scam.

DI Hinze added: “If you have elderly relatives, friends or neighbours please ensure that they are aware of such scams and that you do everything you can to safeguard them and their savings.”

Same again for Wolves for Challenge Cup clash

WARRINGTON Wolves will travel to KCom Craven Park on Friday night to take on Hull KR in the quarter finals of the Coral Challenge Cup, 7.35pm kick-off with the same 19 man squad that beat Wigan at Anfield.

Head coach Steve Price has named an unchanged squad following last week’s Dacia Magic Weekend win over Wigan which saw the Wolves lift the Locker cup.

The squad came through unscathed as the Wolves bid to make a return trip to Wembley following last year’s shock defeat to Catalans Dragons.

Wheelie bin targeted by arsonists at Latchford

A Wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire in Birch Grove, Latchford, Warrington, yesterday evening.

Shortly after 7pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the open in Birch Grove, Latchford.

On arrival the crew found a wheelie bin well alight.

Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and were in attendance for less than 10 minutes.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Popular carnival returns for its 35th year

THE popular Birchwood Carnival returns this Sunday (June 2) at Birchwood Forest Park.
A colourful, circus-themed fancy dress parade marks the start of the afternoon’s activities at 12.30pm, led by Karamba Samba Band.  Next is the fancy dress judging and prize-giving, followed by the official opening at 1pm.
As well as Karamba Samba, the afternoon’s arena acts include The Van Buren Show, Eagle Heights Eagle and Vulture Show, and local acts such as Northern Starr Dance.
There will also be a dog show running throughout the afternoon and a large fairground.
Other attractions this year include a Ranger Rob’s Animal Experience, a Rodeo Bull, Climbing Wall, Gladiator Joust, Magic Shows, Donkey Rides, Charity and Craft Stalls, Drum Workshops, Local History Displays, and a wide range of food outlets.
And there will be the chance to join a range of workshops, including drumming, craft and circus skills.
There will be changes to car parking arrangements for this year’s festival. Contractors working on Birchwood Way have occupied much of the Forest Park car park, and parking on the site will be restricted to Blue Badge holders only.
The borough council has organised a large parking area on Birchwood Business Park – and all parking will be fully signposted from the main routes.
