WARRINGTON Wolves survived a second half fightback to beat Hull KR 40-26 and extend their winning run to six games.
It looked like being a routine win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as the Wolves led 22-2 at half time thanks to tries from Jack Hughes (2), Mike Cooper and Ben Currie.
But three tries inside the first 10 minutes of the second half dragged the Robins back in to the contest.
It took until 66 minutes for Warrington to create some breathing space, Tom Lineham’s converted try taking the score to 28-20.
That ultimately proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back, Stefan Ratchford following that score with another a minute later to put the game beyond Hull KR.
Ryan Atkins added gloss to the scoreline with another try before Danny McGuire added a consolation.
