VIDEO: FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a blaze at a takeway on Bridge Street, Warrington on Friday night.
The fire broke out at the Piri Piri Chicken premises and spread to a neighbouring property.
Four fire crews tackled the blaze as thick black smoke billowed from the premises.
It took around half an hour to bring the fire under control.
Following the fire neighbouring premises Shawarma X Press, which was also badly damaged posted on social media:

It is to our regret to announce that Shawarma X Press will be CLOSED until further notice, due to an unexpected fire from next door spreading to Shawarma X Press.
Fortunately, everyone managed to evacuate the building in time with no one being harmed.
However, customers who put their order through after 8pm, and did NOT receive their order, are advised to retain proof of purchase for any refunds in due course.
