Woman seriously injured after being thrown from horse

A WOMAN horse rider suffered serious injuries when she was thrown from her horse at Warrington.
The incident was on the A49 Newton Road, at Winwick, shortly after 9pm on Tuesday, August 14.
Now police are seeking a cyclist who was seen in the area at the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened.
Emergency services attended the incident and the woman rider was taken to hospital.
PC Paul Fairhurst said: “Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation I’m keen to speak to a cyclist who was seen in the area at the time of the incident as I believe they may hold vital information.
“I urge the cyclist, or anyone who believes they know the identity of the cyclist, to contact us on 101 quoting IML 154750 or visit https://cheshire.police.uk/contact/general-enquiries .”
