Man tried to enter bar with meat cleaver – allegation

A MAN was arrested in the early hours of this morning after being seen in town centre  Warrington with a meat cleaver.
He was alleged to have tried to gain entrance to a bar shortly before 3am while armed with the weapon.
In another incident, a man was arrested in the Great Sankey area for an alleged series of assaults on his partner between May and June.
A man was arrested on Academy Way for being drunk and disorderly and shortly before 4am a man was arrested for an alleged offence of grievous bodily harm against his partner at an address in the town centre.
