THE search is on to find Britain’s most dog-friendly pub – and Warrington’s The Maltings is currently leading the pack.
Dog-loving pub-goers have started casting their vote to find the perfect pub for pooches.
The Old Hall pub is currently top of the list of the top 10 dog friendly pubs across the North West.
Launched three years ago by online dog-sitting platform, DogBuddy, the Dog Friendly Awards aim to celebrate the UK pubs that go the extra mile to make dogs, and their owners, feel welcome.
Nearly two thirds of dog owners will search online for a dog-friendly pub before making a visit, and 67 per cent are put off visiting a pub if it’s not dog-friendly. Nearly a quarter of dog owners have left a pub because it’s not been suitable for their dog.
Voting is open now and continues until Sunday, October 28.. Anyone can vote for their pub by visiting dogbuddypubs.com or take a look at the current leaderboard at dogbuddypubs.com/north-west-leaderboard.
Last year, the Caledonia in Liverpool won the competition – but currently is lying second to The Maltings
