Movies killed the Nice Guy in 2018. Good riddance.

In the character of Duckie from Pretty in Pink, screenwriter John Hughes gave us the siren call of the Nice Guy. The Nice Guy is Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He’s Snape from Harry Potter.
