New play area opens at Enfield Park

PUPILS from Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School were among those who enjoyed the official opening of a new play area in Enfield Park.
The play area, funded by not-for-profit company WREN, through the FCC Environment through the Landfill Communties Fund, provides new, up-to-date play equipment for the park.
Geoff Settle, of the Friends of Enfield Park and former Mayor of Warrington, said: “My children played on the old equipment that has now been replaced and we now bring our three-year-old grandson Max, who just loves throwing himself around the place. It is a dream come true.”
Mr Settle said he had invited the head teacher, Rachel Pimblett, and pupils of Cinnamon Brown CE Primary because he wanted to see the enthusiasm of the pupils’ faces as they played on the equipment.
The pupils also planted a number of native trees in the park.
