VIDEO: WARRINGTON was transported back in time to the 1960s when dozens of scooter enthusiasts descended on the historic Saracen’s Head pub on Wilderspool Causeway.
Members of Warrington Scooter Club, who meet at the pub every Wednesday at 7.30pm, organised the annual start of season rally when other clubs from around the area are invited to attend.
The event which transported Warrington back in time to the Mod era, attracted around 100 scooter enthusiasts who proudly showed off their machines, many dating from the 1960s and now worth thousands of pounds.
Warrington Scooter Club is one of several in the town, with others travelling in from Wigan, Widnes and St Helens.
During the event there was music from the Mod era as many re-visited their childhood.
One of the organisers Les Ireland from Latchford said:”We are a very informal club and anyone with an interest in scooters is welcome to join us.”
