FIVE fire engines, plus an aerial ladder platform, were sent to the scene after a car careered off the road and into a pond at Warrington this morning.
The incident was in Daten Avenue, Birchwood, shortly before 10.30am.
Two people were rescued from the car and crews used stabilisation equipment to steady the vehicle as paramedics removed the two casualties from the car.
Fire appliances from Warrington, Birchwood, Widnes, Penketh and Lymm were involved in the operation.
