Wolves Cyclists will have a Wheely magical time

A GROUP of Warrington Wolves fans will be making the trip to the Magic Weekend later this month on two wheels.

On the weekend of the 19th and 20th May, thousands of Rugby League fans will travel many miles in cars, trains and planes to watch their beloved team at St James’s Park in Newcastle.

An intrepid band of cycling brothers will depart from The Halliwell Jones Stadium at 6.00am on Thursday 17th May travelling 200 miles through five counties over two days along the way in a bid to raise money for the Warrington Wolves official charity, The Warrington Wolves Foundation.

Wolves Foundation Director, Neil Kelly, said: “Over the years, many people have undertaken fundraising challenges to raise money for the Wolves Foundation and 2 Wheels to The Toon will undoubtedly be one of the toughest, both physically and mentally.

“The funds raised by the cyclists will used to support projects like Offload and the newly created Physical Disability Rugby League Team that change and in some cases literally save lives through sport.

“It is great to see Ian Lawton and John Welch from these projects jumping on board this year and I look forward to seeing them in Newcastle when they finish.”
