VANDALS set fire to waste bins on a children’s playground at Warrington early today.
Firefighters were called to the playground in Samuel Street, Sankey Bridges after the fires were first reported shortly before 9am.
A number of small bins were ablaze and firefighters used water to extinguish the flames.
They were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
Police were informed and are investigating and anyone with information is asked to call them on 101 or via the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111
